Frequently asked questions

What is litigation support?

It is attorney to attorney assistance with the tasks necessary to build strong cases.  I work remotely, but can be onsite periodically as needed.

What services do I provide?

As needed, I can provide any, or all, of the following:

1.  Assistance in developing the material facts and legal authorities that support your case.

2.  Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, and  briefs.

3.  Develop deposition outlines

4.  Trial preparation

5.  Second chair presence

6.  Appellate assistance

What is my litigation experience?

Over 20 years of general civil practice with a concentration in property, construction and commercial matters.  I have built dozens of cases through discovery, depositions, and motions. Then, I tried those before juries and judges, or settled them through negotiation or mediation.  My strength is in clear and concise drafting, vigorous combing of documents and transcripts for material facts, and determined legal research. Since relocating to the Florida Panhandle in 2017, I have continued representing a client in Tennessee and providing support to other attorneys.

How do we work together?

Let's start off with a phone call or Zoom session to get to know each other, and you tell me how I can help.  Then, transmit to me (by email or Dropbox) the materials I'll need to review.  As I progress on your project, we'll touch base periodically for updates and questions.

What about confidentiality?

The information you share with me will remain confidential.  My work product belongs to you.  I won't directly contact your client without your authorization.

How am I compensated?

Typically, an hourly rate will be most appropriate.  A flat fee for shorter, well defined projects may be considered. I will submit an invoice each month until the project is finished.  Specific rates and terms will be discussed during our initial conversation and our agreement reduced to writing.
